May 7 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Event Navigation

She Nailed It! Competition and Social is the highlight event for the 2018 Woman Build, a week that recognizes our female volunteers. The She Nailed ItI Competition is a relay race with four women on a team. Each woman must fully hammer a nail into a board and then pass the hammer to the next member on the relay team. The event is fast paced and fun!

So are you ready to accept the CHALLENGE ?   A little competition is a good thing, and this is one competition where no experience is required…..so get your game on and sign up to be a sponsor or get three of your friends together to form a team to help Hammer Home The Cause.

WHAT IS WOMEN BUILD?

National Women Build Week is taking place this year from May 6th – May 14th.

This a week that highlights the work that Women Build crews in the United States do throughout the year, and includes a week long schedule of activities, including a series of Women Build Blitz (WBB) days. The activities include framing, hammering, wrapping, windows, site clean-up and more. They feel a sense of accomplishment and rise in self-esteem as we set them up to succeed with our “hand up not a hand out” mission.

LOWE’S COMMITMENT

In 2003 Lowe’s, a Fortune 50 home improvement company partnered with Habitat for Humanity International and has committed more than $63 million dollars and has helped more than 5,500 Habitat families improve their living conditions and have a place to call “Home”. In addition to their monetary support in the communities in which their stores are located, Lowe’s employees (Lowe’s Heroes) have also dedicated countless volunteer hours to make the communities in which they live and work a better place.
