women build

The Habitat for Humanity Women Build Committee leads the Woman Build Blitz and the annual She Nailed It! Competition and Social.

The Women Build Committee with Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley is made-up of women from all walks of life in the Lehigh Valley area whose main goal is to empower women of all ages by giving them a way to help take action against poverty housing conditions.  Your involvement with the Women Build program is sure to empower you and other women to take leadership roles in construction and learn new skills while building homes for hardworking families in need of safe, affordable housing.

The National Women Build Week is in May each year and highlights the work that Women Build crews in the United States do throughout the year. The Women Build includes a week long schedule of activities, including a series of Women Build Blitz (WBB) days, where groups of women join together to work on getting a Habitat house under roof.

In the Lehigh Valley Women Build also includes the She Nailed It! Completion and Social. This fun event challenges teams of women to prove their strength through a small construction completion. The event is women only and includes a networking mixer.
